PETS Blockprinting Linocut Art Workshop

Get acquainted with the popular linocut art craft and learn to create your own stamps and prints using this classic technique. This private workshop is a fun hands-on introduction to linocutting, a popular printmaking technique, used by artists such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. 

Held at my home studio, this Pets Blockprinting Art Workshop is created for pet owners who want to capture the likeness of their beloved pets by carving their own rubber block stamps.

I will help you to translate your pets photos to workable designs and guide participants to carve safely using Linocutting printmaking techniques. Then we will print to our hearts’ content on paper and tea towels.

Venue: Eat To Draw home studio, Pasir Ris or your own venue

Fee: $99 per person / 2.5 hours (Min 2 pax to start class)

Workshop Programme & Learning Objectives:

• Have fun illustrating your pets from photos and turn them into designs for the stamps

• Learn to transfer the images to the rubber blocks

• Learn the basics and tips of Linocutting art technique; I will demonstrate how to carve safely and effectively

• Have fun printing on fabric using fabric screen printing ink and the traditional brayer method

• Print on paper with assorted ink pads

• Bring back your handcarved stamps, cards and tea towels

• All tools and materials, and coffee/tea are provided

• Suitable for ages 12 and up

• Perfect for corporate team building or family bonding
