Client: Asian Civilisations Museum (National Heritage Board)
Project: Crossing Cultures
I was invited to set up an Artist In Residence studio pop-up at ACM, in conjunction with Crossing Cultures (2-4 June 2023) and the fashion exhibition by Andrew Gn. In line with the theme ‘Made By Hand’, I created a series of handcarved stamps and showcased the printmaking on fabric demo. The museum visitors were also invited to print on the large fabric for a community piece. I was also commissioned to create 30 handmade placemats for guests.

Project: Singapore Heritage Festival
I was thrilled to partake again in the Singapore Heritage Festival and we sold out five Blue Pea Wonder Workshops (in May & June 2022) with my creative partner Janna Hussain. We were interviewed in The Straits Times and Channel News Asia 938. This unique workshop covers the magic of blue pea flowers, a native plant, through culinary, craft, culture and connections. Private workshops are currently available.
Client: DFW Creative
Project: Ralph Lauren Christmas Store Campaign
DFW Creative agency engaged me to turn three iconic Ralph Lauren Polo Bears and assorted Christmas botanical designs into handcarved stamps. Customers at the Ralph Lauren kids stores in Singapore can custom-print them on the elegant Christmas cards to bring home.

Project: Singapore Heritage Festival (2020)
I was thrilled to host our Sambal Food Art Workshop with my friend Fareena as part of the Singapore Heritage Festival 2020. For the first time, the festival presented its programmes digitally and our workshop was streamed live and recorded for audience here and beyond Singapore.
I also hosted a series of three mini documentaries “Hello Pasir Ris” for Singapore Heritage Festival 2020 which are pivoted on my personal connections and stories of Pasir Ris. The first story features my father Law Yap Teck and his visit to the former Golden Palace Holiday Resort in 1967. Another story features my father’s friend, Mr Samat Sulaiman whose family lived in the old Kampung Tampines. The third installation features my love for nature through the Kitchen and Butterfly Garden which was initiated by my friend Grant Pereira of The Green Volunteers. I also researched, interviewed, scripted, did the voiceover and painted a few illustrations (dugong, wildlife of Pasir Ris and nostalgic scenery of Golden Palace). Overall, it was a fabulous learning experience working with the professional team at NHB and AP Media.
Client: Love, Bonito
Project: Illustrators Who Inspire
I was invited by Singapore’s fashion company Love, Bonito to be one of their “Illustrators Who Inspire” in August 2020 and to create a commissioned artwork based on the theme ‘Community’. As a nature and animal lover who has volunteered for various causes, I based my artwork on the concept of an ‘Inclusive Community‘ that includes the wild flora and insects in our environment and the community cats that are ever-present in our neighbourhood. Titled ‘Commune With Nature‘, it is centred on a playful feline and her butterfly friends in a whimsical garden. I used Mixed Media of gouache and acrylic on gold paper and also foraged plants in my backyard to create this dreamy piece. You can read about it on “Illustrators Who Inspire.”
Client: FYI Asia
Project: DBS Bank
I was commissioned by @fyiasia and @dbsbank (2019) to create this large-format A1-size artwork in ink, watercolour and using real food to reveal the secret gastro destination that DBS Altitude VISA Signature Card members get to go in a contest. The artwork-in-progress was captured in two time-lapse videos, showing how I illustrated a spread of delectable dishes that foodies can enjoy at the secret supper club in New York City.
The videos were shared on the FYI Asia cable network channel in 11 SEA countries such as Singapore, Brunei and Thailand, the websites and social media platforms of FYI and DBS Bank, and on an outdoor screen at Shaw Orchard in Singapore.
