Carlyn Law

Carlyn Law, a Singaporean artist, enjoys creating with watercolours, gouache, acrylic, and linocutting technique. She loves printmaking in particular, for the deeply meditative process and how everyone can access this art form and create their unique expressions. An avid gardener, animal lover and home cook, her whimsical creations are often centred on nature, animals and food. She believes art is important for self expression, creativity and well-being, and loves connecting with people at her workshops.

Her clients to date include National Heritage Board, DBS, and Ralph Lauren. She also hosted three mini documentaries and a live food art workshop at the Singapore Heritage Festival 2020 and also co-presented five sell-out Blue Pea Wonder Workshops as part of the Singapore HeritageFest in 2022.

A Communication Studies alumni from NTU, she worked as a food & lifestyle writer/ editor and then set up a Public Relations agency where she serves as a director-consultant for 14 years. At 40, she decided to trade in her corporate job for motherhood and fulfill her childhood dream of being an artist. Having studied art in college, Carlyn spent the last few years honing various media and techniques.

The food lover set up Eat To Draw on social media in 2015 as a platform to share her creative expressions of food art. What keeps her going nowadays is commissioned works and running workshops. In her free time, the mother of a boy likes to lose herself in green spaces, gardening, cooking and creative pursuits because that's how she finds her centre again.
