Baby Pasta For Toddlers

This is a follow-up recipe after the vegetable stock is done. As said, I usually reserve half of the stock to cook pasta (or noodles) and I will enrich it with fish, minced meat, herbs, cheese and quality olive oil. The cooking time is under 10 minutes or even 5, if you use quick-cooking alphabet pasta!

Baby  Pasta For Toddlers

Ingredients for 1:

Pasta suited for toddlers - 4 tbsp

Vegetable stock with veggies preferred - 1 & 1/2 cup

Pinch of dried herbs (oregano, basil)

Grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 tbsp

Quality extra virgin olive oil - 1 tsp

Method:

1. Heat up the vegetables and stock in a small pot and add the pasta, together with your choice of fish or minced meat.

2. Cook according to the pasta instructions - usually around 5 mins or until it's cooked to your preferred texture. Stir regularly to prevent burning and add a bit more stock if you prefer it more wet.

3. Add dried herbs, cheese, pinch of pink salt and serve with a drizzle of olive oil - it makes a difference to the taste!

*Tips:

- Play with different pasta shapes and sizes that are suitable for toddlers - it adds variety and fun.

- For vegetarians, you can omit the cheese and include more veggies such as pumpkin, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, lentils and sweet potato that will make a great pasta sauce when mashed.

- You can also add tomato sauce (2 tbsp) or pesto (1 tsp) to create different sauces to this basic recipe. Enjoy!

The sand storm threatens to catch up with them but the four-wheel entourage refuses to slow down and they hurry to find an oasis in the desert.

Not just for kids, this seme cicoria pasta is great for minestrone soups to add texture and bulk. I also like alphabet pasta for my boy because they cook so quickly. Happy cooking! #eattodraw
